Nacel Australia
Nacel Australia is an international student exchange organisation with over 15 years’ experience in providing opportunities for students to make new discoveries about themselves and the world around them. As well as arranging language, cultural and student exchange programs, Nacel organises a variety of accommodation options for students studying in Perth. Homestay is a very popular option for overseas students as well as for interstate Australian and country students. There are many different varieties of households: from a single person living in a unit to a couple with children, and some households host more than one student. Every effort is made to place students within easy access to their college/university. Students can request a homestay placement before leaving their city of residence and will be notified of the family details so they can go straight there from the airport. See below for further information regarding airport pickup. A placement fee of $175, including GST, is charged and the cost for homestay is as follows:
In Australia, breakfast usually includes cereal and toast, lunch is usually sandwiches and some fruit and dinner, the main meal of the day, is usually a cooked meal which includes meat, chicken or fish and vegetables or salad plus a dessert. Nacel Australia offers you the opportunity to live in a comfortable house with other students for periods from five months to several years. Houses are fully furnished and equipped and you will have your own room with a bed, wardrobe and a student desk, chair and lamp. Rooms vary in cost from $110 per week for a small room with a single bed and shared bathroom to $170 per week for a large room with a double bed and private bathroom. Most rooms cost $130 - $150 per week. Usually four or five students share a house and Nacel manages the electricity, water and gas accounts which are shared between the occupants. Some houses are single sex only and others are mixed - you can request your preference. Temporary Accommodation There are several hostels and lodges in Perth which offer short term accommodation. Students who prefer to become familiar with Perth before making a decision about where they are going to live on a long term basis often choose this option. The cost for one night in a hostel starts at about $40 per night, or $190 per week, and meals are extra at around $20 per day. The standard of accommodation in a hostel is basic and would not be comfortable for an extended period of time. Nacel charges a booking fee of $40. Airport Meeting and Transfer Airport meeting on arrival in Perth and a transfer to the student’s accommodation can be reserved. This service is free of charge for those students newly enrolling at PIBT. For other students, the fee is $95. How to reserve your accommodation and airport meeting and transfer
